You can update. License isn't version restricted.

And it is possible to update from V3 to V4 by installing the new version over the previous one? Or is it mandatory to make a clean install?

    Thanks in advance.

    A clean install is preferable.

Does this have X-MON exchange support, or do we still have to use 2.7 for exchange servers?

Never got a response to an email I sent to beta support two weeks ago.
    So much for beta testing.

After reading about how v4 was rushed (and problems that weren't fixed), I'm not sure if I want to buy EAV/ESS. Don't get me wrong... I am currently trialing it and so far it is very good. However, I'm concerned about what the future holds.

I've followed the V4 forum closely and haven't gotten the same impression as you have. I am a licenced user of V3 and will download V4 later today in all probability.

Seems pretty solid to me! Been using NOD32 for two years now, and no virus infections after much use.

Need a little advice on renewing NOD32 v2.7

I've had this version for the past 2 years, and my licence expires next week on March 10. I've been so satisfied that I never bothered to upgrade to EAV 3, having had no infections. But I now feel uncomfortable with such an old version.

I also use Comodo Internet Security 3.8 - with only the firewall and the D+ (HIPS) installed, not the Comodo AV (CAV). Comodo and ESET have played well together for 2 years, and I don't want to break up a good team. But I see EAV 4 also has a HIPS, and worry about conflicts.

Can I disable the HIPS in EAV4, or will I have to disable D+? Anyone have experience using these 2 versions? Any other potential conflicts? Would I be better off renewing with EAV 3 (if that is still possible) and wait for the dust to settle before upgrading to 4?
I'm not interested in the ESS firewall. Using Win XP Pro/sp3 here.

Just my luck that a new version should be released just prior to renewal time!

There is no proof that version 4 has Hips untill someone from ESET can shed more light on this!
