    Bensec,

Let's wait for ESET to announce their products. It is much safer to download from official ESET sites than second party hosting sites.

I think the fact that the links are to Rapidshare says it all!

We will see soon. Even it's unofficial, it's about time for ESET to release a new version.

The Digital Signature on that thing reads 6 Feb and we're in the 2nd of March, if it were to be true that it did go final, the digital signature would of read 2nd of march.

    Therefore its a fake.

I dl'd the "final" version, inserted my User/PW to get it, installed right on top of the beta, no problems. But it is still showing a expiration date of 3/17/09 instead of the date my license expires in 2010. Is version 314 the final or another beta version? o_O

You need to put your username and password into ESS also. Since you installed over the beta, it is still using the beta login for updates.

Well DUH! Thought by inserting it on the dl page would take care of it. After putting it in the program and updating, TA-DAH! Thanks.

This cannot be true. They would not make this a final when so many people cannot use it because they cannot stay connected to the internet. If true bad move on Esets part.

I happened to check mine and it has a date of 1/31/2010 and I didn't enter my license. Version says 3904 with today's date: 3/03/2009.

    Yes, its for real.
Check this item I copied from the ESET support news site

    March 2, 2009

ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus v4.0 have been released!

Version 4.0 is a free upgrade to licensed users.

This release has many new features, including support for new mail clients, scanning of SSL-encrypted traffic, a new driver based-cleaning model, enhanced self-protection, integrated ESET SysInspector, the ability to create a bootable recovery CD, a text mode for cmproved compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
For more information or to download a copy, please visit ESET's web site
    http://www.eset.com/download/registered_software.php

I downloaded and installed it yesterday, used my registered username and password and it's working beautifully.

Well, this didn't last long. Thought maybe they were giving future dates for those who beta tested. This morning I boot up and it now reads 3/18/2009.

I assume it will work this time if I enter my paid for username/pwd (choked on this earlier in the beta)? And only finish the license time from version 3?

    OK its real now.

    Goodnews:
the installer from eset official site has been updated today. the installer's digital signature is signed on March 3rd ,which used to be Feb 6 two days ago. ;)

    Badnews:
It seems that there isnt much change in this new installer. the only changed files ,compared to the old Final intaller(digitally signed on Feb6), are :
    APPDATADIR\Updfiles\em000_32_l0.nup
    APPDATADIR\Updfiles\em006_32_l0.nup
    APPDATADIR\Updfiles\em006_32_l1.nup
    APPDATADIR\Updfiles\em006_32_l2.nup
are they signatures ?hope they can solve the RC issues like SSL ... asap.:D
