Anyone from Sunbelt got any news on new engine/version/independent testing?

Like it, "does exactly what it says on the tin" but is it comparable to the 'big boys'?

Do you think Vipre has a chance to survive in the security software world with all the big guns out there? All I ever hear is, how fast it is. I never read anything about it's performance when it comes to malware detection. It doesn't participate in any of the comparison tests. I've tried it, it's was fast and light, but I didn't really trust it, because I don't know how well it performs in malware detection.

    Hey graystoke,
the detection is excellent and so is the removal.

From where do you get your information? I've seen a couple of reviews by C-NET and pcmag, but I take those with a grain of salt, as they say.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing Vipre, I just don't see any tests that show how good it really is.

While been testing it about a moth ago, I did a lot of research and found a lot of complaints about infections so it can't be that good. I've only tested it with one trojan and its failed. Tested it with different kinds of logger test, I can't remember any detection, I've found it pretty useless and uninstalled it.

    Hey graystoke,
well for a bit of personal testing so isnt reliable but then again it did detect and remove the malware that was tested.
i dont see any harm in trying it.

Hi lodore......I've tried it, but didn't like it all that much. I was just curious. You hear very little about.
