I need another license reset. I would think that Prevx xould tell when we uninstall the program and reinstall in another. I like to try out different versions of Vista and Win 7. I have a 15 system network and constantly switch things around. Wish you could come up with something better then me having to pm you evertime I need a change. I have purchased 3 keys so far and not sure if this will continue.

Crap, I really want to get updated on the betas too - what could the problem be? :( :doubt:

Also an additional question: when I've installed with the beta setup file, will I continue to get live AND beta versions all the time? Or more like supposedly so... :D

We are working on a new system for this, but it will take some time to try out to see if it is viable or not.

You can also use our MyPrevx console to move licenses around but there are limitations in it to prevent abuse, but, in the meantime, check your PMs :D

I'm really not sure why you can't update :doubt: But yes, you "will" continue to receive new live and beta versions as they are released :)

v3.0.1.17 is now released live and will be available for public update within the next couple days as soon as the AVs stop FPing on it :D

    v. 3.0.1.17 running very well (minimum self protection) alongside KIS 2009 build 8.0.0.506.

    Hi Joe

Ditto here except I am running KIS 2009 8.0.0.506(a). Seems to have ben rock solid since 3.0.1.15...execute the update automatically without the 'dramas' of the pre 3.0.1.15 build, requested the post update scan and then scanned automatically at the scheduled time...so looks like a keeper (what am I saying...I already have a license :D )

    Spiffing software, eh, what!

I've never heard of that - could you send me a scan log by clicking Tools and Settings > Save Scan Results? I'll be able to investigate the file further from there :)

The beta is now released officially so you can just download 3.0.1.17 from our website normally :)

I noticed somewhere , someone here in this topic saying that edge is just prevx 2.0 with just the age/spread criteria detection on..why does that not sound good to me? :O

I think that you are completely misinformed or have misunderstood. My understanding is that the technology base is Prevx2 but that under the covers all has been improved/recoded (in the same way that many products are based on...I think that this was clarified in one of the myriad posts in this thread...and so easy to miss). So one way to view it is as 'sucessor' to Prevx2 only better at what it does...much better IMHO.

A most excellent piece of software...again IMHO.

But I am sure that PrevxHelp will be along to correct any misunderstanding (once he has recharged his batteries :D )

Maybe I've some information that will give a clue... I'm pretty sure that when I ran the live-setup file instead of the beta one, I was getting new live versions (ofc not beta versions) automatically with no problems. Just saw my Prevx icon disappear for some seconds and then it's there again with a new version number. Then when I've run beta-setup files, it's stopped working correctly - or more like at all.

    Some feedback....

I finished my trial of DS & found it very unstable - often hanging the host computer.

Regarding a Prevx version for sticks, we don't need to protect the pc - we need to protect the stick! People are carrying around sticks - popping them into computers at schools, offices, internet cafes etc. They are not interested in protecting the pcs that the stick is going into, they want to protect the stick! Therefore, when they go home & pop the stick back into their own computer, they don't want to risk infecting their own pc from all the computers the stick has been plugged into.
