    Hi everybody!
I just downloaded DriveSentry, tried installing and i'm getting this message:

DriveSentry requires the Filter Manager please install the latest Service Pack for this Operating System.
After that the installation seems to continue but at the end i get another message saying it can't install because i have another antivirus.(which is true, i also have Avira Premium but the guard was deactivated when i tried installing) Also from what i understood, they should be compatible.

My OS is Vista Business SP1 64 bit. All updates are installed.
So, if anybody knows how to fix this problem i would really appreciate it.

Ah ok, thx for the answer.
I was hoping it would work, but seems it's almost impossible to find good free security software for Vista x64. (sandboxing and HIPS at least) :cautious:
Is there any plan to release a x64 version anytime soon?

Hmm an update... Drive Sentry Goanywhere hung at a customer's site & denied access to my pendrive & also hung the customer's computer!

    Not impressed! :(

I agree with you firzen, it's been quite awhile now.
DS showed alot of promise but everything they said has never materialized.

I've pretty much given up on DS and don't think I'd even try a new version if one shows up.

To many other good apps out there now where the developers are constantly striving to improve them.

As for DS, I hope they change and improve it.
    I wish them well.

    Hi Guys,

We are waiting for a code signing certificate for Windows Security Center hence the delay. We have expressed our concerns as to why it is taking so long to issue a certificate even though it has been confirmed all the criteria has been met on our part?

I would like to say the end of the week but since this is out of our control things could change plus I don't want to be shot down if this is the case...

    Kind Regards,

    Katie

I have some questions about DriveSentry GoAnywhere I am hoping to get answers to.

Can I use DS GA on a flash drive plugged in a computer where I would be running in a limited account, such as at a school or internet cafe?

Does DS GA scan files in real time that are put on the flash drive from the host pc? If so, will this work on a limited account as well?

After I buy DS GA, do I have to purchase a new subscription every year? Or is DS GA a one time purchase? If it is a one time purchase, are updates free forever after this initial purchase?

Thanks very much for any help with my questions.

It's a onetime lifetime purchase with free updates for the rest of your or DS's life ;)

    Hello,

The AV part of DriveSentry requires administrator rights. However, file encryption will work on a limited account.

    It's a one time purchase ;)

    Kind Regards,

    Katie,

Far too early to comment on protection abilities but it's much lighter and more responsive than the previous version.

    Updated home page is better.

Looks good and handles better at first sight, but how it protects is what will matter!

    Here's hoping!

    Hello
Can anyone comment on the most recent version's memory footprint? I used it on XP Pro SP3 just three weeks ago and it used over 150 MB memory. It was just too heavy.....

    Thanks

It plays nicely with my other AV. Its primarily an HIPS and a very good one! That's the reason to run it.

True. Unfortunately, on my PC is was using 55MB, new version uses 38MB.

The competition uses a lot less e.g. Avira suite >10M.

From reading about the new Comodo suite I understand that is similar amount.

May be good but can't bring myself to use it when it is so much heavier than others.

i suggest u dont use DS with another AV, UNLESS u disable the realtime scanning in DS options. then it works fine, that is what i used to do.
