    I was trying to setup/install WhoLockMe > http://www.dr-hoiby.com/WhoLockMe/index.php (Compliments of PROROOTECT) > https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1408408&postcount=178

I followed instructions and got the following message:

    No File name specified.

    Usage: "WhoLockMe [-m] [-f] filename"

-m : Display the DialogBox at the mouse position.
-f : Don't test if the file exists.

Since I thought DefenseWall could be interferring some how, I went into the Event logs to see when Prevx Edge Malware popup occurred, > see screenshots 1 and 2.

Then I went into Program folder and clicked on the install.bat, and got screenshot 3.

I don't really know what the problem is or where? Kind of confusing!

P.S. The file flagged by PE has been in my downloads folder since June 2008. Not a peep from PE on this file until now!

    Hello,
Could you send me a scan log? I'll see what I can find from that :)

Got it :) Can you run another scan - we did have a heuristic FP, it should be fixed now, however.

I did configure the settings you mentioned, but when I look at processes Prevx Edge uses 3156 kb and A Squared 94512 kb. Also, when A squared does a scan I can barely use my computer. (like I said I have an old computer)

I know I can disable the other parts of A Squared and use only the Malware IDS part of it, which, as far as I know transforms A Squared into Mamutu (corect me if I'm wrong please) , so in that case it is Mamutu against Prevx edge.

So my question remains: A Squared/ Mamutu or Prevx? Which one would you prefer in my circumstances?

In your circumstances, I'd go prevx edge and run sandboxie for your 'unsafe' browsing.

a-squared, although rock solid, is quite the heavy beast on an older machine.

Personally (and having discussed this internally), whilst a green / amber / red orb similar to Prevx2.0 might be a better choice to immediately inform the user of the Prevx system status - unfortunately it's a shared opinion that it would be a very generic icon which wouldn't at first glance be obvious that it's related to Prevx.

What we have at the moment is a happy medium / compromise of combining the CSI / Edge branding and the system status together. I could look at making the status orb in the center larger, but at 16x16 pixels there really isn't that much room to play with ;)

I am also well pleased by your Prevx Edge over its performance and naturally that induced me to buy it. :thumb:

One hassle is to reactivate it after formatting and re-installing the Windows, and yet I do respect your company's policy even if it requires more from than the Window Vista activation. For your Prevx Edge's performance is exceptional.

May your Prevx run smoother over my Korean Vista Home Premium. Moreover, plz apprise me if only I can play safely my PC under the Prevx Edge's protection without any anti-virus program.

    Age/Spread Criteria Violation Detected:
    Threat Identified in File:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Xfire\xfire_toucan_35798.dll

Blocked it for the meantime but noticed a gui bug, the main window says in the right upper corner: As of today, Edge has cleaned 1 infection

Blocking n quarantining isnt the same as cleaning.

In the case of removing that file, it is the same as cleaning if you have 'automatically remove blocked files' checked.

Could you PM me a scan log from Tools > Save Scan Results? I can fix the FP from there, but it will also automatically fix itself as soon as the file ages more :) (as it is a heuristic detection based on the fact that the file is new from an update)

Hehe... still not getting updated :p - and I did a clean install before having to manually update to b15 through the setup file.

The changelog between .16 and .17 is also not very exciting :) We should be going out live with this new version soon :)

That's the current live version - others here with the higher version are using the beta (but the beta will soon be the new live version so you won't have to wait long :)) Or, I can PM you a beta link now if you want :)

A FP that I override but Prevx Edge keeps blocking it at boot.

    It is C:\Program Files\Startup Organizer\so.exe from MetaProducts

They delivered a new version 2.9 and Prevx don't like it.
