I have been researching various VPN solutions and I came across the Xerobank service which by far looks the most promising. I would like to deploy the Onyx network in a small business environment, and purchase two cryptorouters.

For a week now, I have tried to contact Xerobank directly to request more information and have received no reply despite several e-mails. Even if you try to submit one of their official forms on the website for Cryptorouter enquiries it just returns a 404 not found error.

The website "looks" professional but my experience thus far with their (non-existant) customer service is anything but. The $1 for 30 day VPN business must be very profitable that they are able to give such little attention to other inquiries. Can anyone on this forum even vouch for their Onyx/Cryptorouter service? I am starting to think its all just fluff.

Steve from Xerobank is in here all the time. They may be having website issues. Check in later today/tomorrow (depending on your time zone).

Hello Coka, it looks like the form responder is redirecting you to a new page that has been moved, but a 301 hasn't been put in place, resulting in a 404. This is because the form uses an internal email server but the server has been moved because of a recent outage, so we relocated it but that form didn't get updated yet. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Please contact me directly about onyx at steve.topletz at xerobank dot com.

    Hi Steve,

With the Xerobank signup options, is it possible to do just a month at a time or is the requirement to sign up on a recurring account? If the later is the only option, is it as simple as cancelling via your own profile, or do you have to contact customer supprt at Xerobank?

    Many thanks JB

my experience was you have to have recurring subs and be careful if you sign up and then cancel to early they will just kick you off like they did me without you completing the month you just paid for then you will then have to complain and be manually put on by steve with credentials he gives you which is not safe and why i never ever used them

    p.s

try trackbuster m8 open vpn clear rules and only 5 euros per month and you cn do month to month no recurring billing

You can sign up and cancel anytime, however when you do sign up it signs you up as a subscription. However, you can get the account and immediately turn off the subscription.

Geazer, I don't think you're talking about XeroBank.

Yes - it's the definition of fluff.

Anybody can pay a programmer from India next to nothing for a fancy web site. XeroBank is a solo company run by Steve - I have been convinced for a long time.

This thousands of dollars a month "Onyx" service? Puhleassee! It doesn't exist. It is there to impress and make XeroBank look like this anonymity powerhouse in the shadows with intelligence service like capabilities. Hell, they run off leased servers in Germany. The same ones used by Metropipe and Cryptohippie. We've been there before. But to answer the question, yes, XeroBank is nothing but fluff, promises, more fluff and braggadocious talk.

Of course, when any of us bring all this to anybody's attention, we are accused of being trolls from privacy.lie.....even though I have said many times I abhor the tactics of privacy.li. He tries to make it look like all critics of his fluffery is the same person. How arrogant! There can only be one critic of XeroBank with different usernames? It's called subterfuge, folks.

Steve Topletz, real estate guy from Dallas, runs a kitchen table operation called XeroBank, makes it appear much more than it is and when it catches up with him (OFTEN) it just shows it for what it is: FLUFF. Good word, Coka123.

    Hello,

Two things, first not strictly relevant to xerobank:

In some countries, there's such thing as fair trading policy mandating that the customer can cancel any subscription within 14-30 days with full refund. This is particularly true for software, because it is not a physical product and thus cannot get worn or damaged by use.

So you ought to be eligible to full refund ... however, if you end short your subscription within the first 14-30 days, you can either have the service terminated immediately or allowed during the grace period.

Second thing, coka did you try the open-source openVPN:
    http://openvpn.net/

I am not here to defend nor support Steve Topletz, but I know that he is quite a good reputation in IT Security; he is the author of TorPark and he is an active member of the security community. Kyle Williams, author of JanusVM, is supposed to be part of the team as well... So we have 2 people with good, international reputation in the field... This should give at least a bit of confidence in Xerobank as a company. Methinks.
