I heard that ESET has a Windows 7 (beta?) version available.

If so, where can I find it for download?

I've installed v3.0.68? on W7, it appears to be working OK, though I haven't put my licence details into it, so it fails on the update schedule.

    OK, thanks.

Where can I get a "leak test"?

    Hello,

Beta test versions of ESET's software can be found at http://beta.eset.com/.

    Aryeh:

    Thanks.

Also, in testing I uninstalled the ESET Smart Security on a Windows 7 machine, and I still am getting indications in the Notification area that egui.exe is installed.

I know it cannot be, as I had run an uninstall program. Where would ESET store the 4.0.687.0 Virus Signature database?

    Hello,

Did you check the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] key to see if an entry for EGUI.EXE is still present? If so, try removing (renaming or deleting) the directory listed in that registry entry, then removing the entry itself.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky
