Thanks for this excellent freeware program and the (I appreciate this very much) the announcement of the added registry entries. This helps me to extend my list of registry keys to protect with my HIPS

    Thx :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

    Thanks for the heads up.

Just one small detail - at the product site says "20 February 2009 : version 1.8 released".

I guess you're way ahead of us. :)

    Regards

I wasn't aware of this program, seems very nice, made me trust it my registry :p
It fixed me couple of minor issues (some non existing files).

The .run files it creates are also very cool, I guess I could help out lots of friends using this software.

  I quickly changed it.

Previous versions were packed to make the executable smaller, but this sometimes gave false positive warnings on virusscanners.

This is a very good malware analysis/troubleshooting tool. Thanks. There's one feature I'd like to see though - a way of filtering categories of scan results, much the same way Sysinternals' AutoRuns does. Autoruns has tabs where you can easily focus on such categories as Logon, LSA Providers, Internet Explorer, and so on. Runscanner's single long list is difficult to navigate.

Yes, I'm aware of that feature, but it doesn't really address what I'm asking for. I want a quick way to focus on different categories, and Autoruns does this well. I'd find Runscanner much more useable if it had a similar capability.

    Thanks as always RunScanner

You keep making your creation better all the time and that equates to more useful too.

    Sorry for bumping it up!

Is Runscanner among other things a registry cleaner? Does it scan whole registry or just the crucial parts of it?

I found a bug in Runscanner 1.8.0.0, but I don't know where to report it to.

It says for a service: C:\Program Files\OpenDNS Updater\OpenDNS Updater.exe --run File not found!

I assume it takes the whole path as a string and gets confused by the "--run" at the end.

    How can I report this?
