Both with TI 2009 build 9646 (realeased 24 November) and the new build 9709 (got it today) I've had no notification that the new build is coming or has arrived. Both times I've just fell upon it by accident by checking into the forum.

This is despite having both 'Notify me about critical updates for my registered products' and 'Notify me about upgrades for my products' checked in My Subscriptions.

Am I the only one? Or what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for your help.

    Just to add:

My email address is good in My Profile and no notification is going to my Spam.

I started using ATI several versions and several years back and never have I received a notice from Acronis of a new build. It's not a spam filter issue on my machines or an address issue. It's some prob in how Acronis administers its business. Afaik, no one has ever reported on these forums receiving an email notice of a new build. Taking care of details isn't Acronis's forte.

After the November update, I created a ticket about the lack of notification. This week, I received a reply.

My original question about the lack of notification was never addressed. I never did just did reply.

    shieber and sunrisecc,

My many thanks for your replies. I'm settled that it's not just me, but a glitch in how Acronis do things. Getting a notification would be a nice touch, though.

Hopefully this will be fixed in the future. I look forward to it.

My experience over the last 16 months is the same - Acronis have never emailed me about any updates.

I have been using TI since version 8 or 9, so long I can't remember, and I have never recieved a notice. I always see it when there is one. Oh, I have a corp account in a different name and it gets emails for specials but never updates.

Good point - they have no problem sending out adverts. But they won't send out a notice when they fix bugs - seems a stupid way to treat their customers! :argh:
