    Hi there

We are currently having an issue with 1 pc here. Its getting a popup about security threat Win32.Zafi.B with the first 2 options greyed out and the only option available "enable protection". If we click that option we totally freeze up and have to reboot to restart with the same problem over.

At times it does let us scan using nod32 and it comes up with no virus's detected. If I check the log history, its listed there saying its been quarantined and will disappear after next reboot but it never goes. It just restarts with the secruity threat pop up again and the same line in the log history.

It wont let us even open a webpage as it deems it unsafe and a high risk threat so there is nothing we can do. In between popups and trying to find a work around, the pc continually freezes up which adds to the frustration :(

If anyone has any ideas about what we can do find a fix it would be very much appreciated. Thanks :)

    If you are running Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista / 2008 / 7 , download and install ESET NOD32 Antivirus v4 beta
    http://www.eset.eu/products/nod32-for-windows-4-beta

    1. Download fresh new version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.0 from
http://www.eset.eu/download/beta . Make sure that you choose the correct version.

    2. Uninstall your current version from Control Panel
    3. Reboot the computer when prompted
    4. Delete manually this folder:

    %Program files%\ESET

    5. Reinstall ESET NOD32 v4 using the file you downloaded in step1 . Use typical install.

    6. Update ESET NOD32 Antivirus v4 . Disconnect from any network(s) and perform full scan .

If the problems persist and NOD32 v4 still informs you about possible threats , open its user interface , goto Help -> Contact cutomer care (recommended) , fill in the form , allow it generate a log from SysInspector and submit it to ESET via the program itself

Thanks for the help Hitech boy.

We currently hold a licence for 5 pc's so will downloading that new version (that you recommend) interfere with any of that licence stuff? Just dont want to make a bigger headache for myself should I require future help.

ESET Antivirus v4 is currently in BETA and while it is BETA (not completed) it will be free so it won't intefere with your license
