I would like to use but need to know how to use it with bittorrent.
I belong to a private bittorrent site.I need to run utorrent and let this communicate with with the site to keep the statistics of what i have downloaded and uploaded back,up to date. Can i keep this data and the download separate because when i close sandboxie,i do not want to alter the data sent because i will still have utorrent running

My advice when it comes to p2p and Sandboxie, is keep the p2p program out of the Sandbox. Because you may forget it was sandboxed and delete everything you downloaded by accident. Also, don't click on p2p links from within a sandboxed browser. It will trigger a sandboxed new instance of the p2p program.

This is how i use utorrent with sandboxie (forced) and got peace of mind:

I have a separate sandbox 'utorrent' with
File Access/Blocked Access : all my docs/private data etc...
File Access/Direct Access: the Documents and Settings\XXXXX\Application Data\uTorrent directory & the torrent files directory
    Restrictions/Internet Access : utorrent.exe
    Restrictions/Start-Run Access : utorrent.exe
    Restrictions/Drop Rights : ticked
Program Start/Forced Folders : the torrent files directory (Edit: actually i have this setting to other restricted sandbox, no big deal)
    Program Start/Forced Programs : utorrent.exe

(the last 2 for paid version of sandboxie only)

I f you're getting time out errors, it is likely not due to Sandboxie, but either the private site's server or your end. If you're showing green, I'm betting it's a server issue on their end. In any case, leave Bittorrent out of Sandboxie, downloads included. They can't do anything to you if you don't run them without scanning with an antivirus/antispyware first.
