Yep, many good things in store for those of us who use and depend on Opera including finally, HTML mail.

Have they fixed the "print selection" problem in this release? It's been really frustrating trying to work around it since Opera 8.54.

I'm really wondering why is everyone else claiming to be getting "very, very fast" speeds with Opera 10 (placebo effect?). Not only does it score worst in synthetic benchmarks, its real-world performance on my end doesn't impress either.

Could you please make a more colour blind friendly graph? :x

Why not use the same method that color-blind people use to tell traffic light signals apart?

The order of the readings are the same as the order of the legend, meaning the first bar is always Chromium, second bar is always Fx, etc.

I've never heard of a colour blind person who has had problems with traffic lights, and you're not even allowed jobs as a pilot/train driver/etc.

But thanks for the ordering info, what versions of the browsers are you using?

Try opening 30+ websites at once and you will notice that Opera is faster than anything else.

Chromium 3.0.192.0 build 19931, Opera 10 beta 2 build 1622, and the latest stable releases for IE/Fx/Safari.

I'm sure that's very relevant.

I think you got your quoting mixed up, but I agree I don't think it's relevant.

Its a simple real-world performance test that everybody can test - without placebo and no synthetic benchmark.

Who ever opens 30 tabs at once? You're testing a synthetic situation yourself, and you claim "no synthetic benchmark"?

Wrong. Every morning i open 30+ websites at once without problems in Opera and its very fast compared to other browsers. I wouldn't do that with other browsers thats for sure.

I open more than 30tabs everyday and opera is the browser i do it with because it can stay fast no matter how many tabs you have open. try that with other browsers.

cant wait for opera 10 final.

tbh i dont want opera to be as popular as firefox if it does it will be targeted.
I always prefer to be different.

That's your claim, with no data whatsoever to back it up. If the placebo effect works for you, enjoy it, I suppose.

opera 10 comes with that server thing, i can't really remember anymore than that - it has somekind of server you can use to share files. i don't want it! is there an option to start opera without it? you can see the options when you run the windows equivilent of 'opera --help' in the windows terminal, maybe it's 'opera /h' or something like that.

AFAIK it always starts without Unite or Link Sync. unless you actively enable them (Tools > ).

That's usually what happens when one party makes random claims with no data to back up what they say. No surprise there.
