Less processes after WU?

    Hi,
    I've updated a machine and noticed that there's one less instance of svchost running. Most likely something to do with the recent bunch of WU. Anyone noticed, has anything wise to enlighten me?

    Win Xp SP3 - I have 6 running.- 3 system, 2 Network service, and 1 local service. Have no idea if this is more or less

    guessing you mean on xp?
    if so i will check the number on my parents machine.

    Same as always - 6 running: 4 SYSTEM, 1 NETWORK SERVICE, 1 LOCAL SERVICE

    Same here. After updating, system went from 6 to 4.

    I am fully updated running Win XP MCE 05 service pack 3.

    svchost: 5 System
    2 Local Service
    2 Network Service

    I also don't know if that's more or less since my last WU.

    I'm also FULLY updated with Windows XP SP2; and after Restart, I have my 3 svchost.exe:

    svchost.exe ( SYSTEM ): Memory Use 4764 Kb,

    svchost.exe ( SYSTEM ): 20680 Kb,

    svchost.exe ( Local ): 4092 Kb.

    That's all, sorry ...

    4 here on XP sp3 running on a LAN. 2 system, 1 local, 1 network. Pretty sure this is a reduction of 2.
