    Hi all,
I am new to this forum and are having a problem getting my username and password. I have 3 PC's in the office and I have the main Vista unit using Smart Security which I bought online from the Australian Eset site all fine no worries. Only thing a bit of a bugbear was waiting two weeks to get the CD but got that, installed Smart security and all is well. I only ordered one install just to give smart security a trial and make sure I am happy with its performance which I am. So I decided to purchase two more installs for the other two PC's. I would have done it through Eset here in Aus but thought I don't want to wait two weeks again to get the CD's (I know you all are going why wait and install from the CD but that's just me clean install from a CD I prefer) so I bought it online from a online store here great service got them here in two days. But now the problem starts the two CD'S have a serial number on the back which is right I assume, inside the cover with the disk is a card which says go to the Eset website/activate so I do that go through the correct procedure in registering my new software and it comes up with an error message, there was an error registering your serial number, please contact support and this error comes up with both CD's?. On the tag with the serial number it has the 1 year of protection and for installation or sale with new computer only? does this mean that it is only valid for install with new computer? I wouldn't think so because the online shop I bought it from mentions that nowhere in the product details. I have contacted Eset here in Aus they are passing the buck back to the place I bought it, contact them they pass the buck back to Eset so as you can appreciate I am a bit frustrated by now, all I want to do is get this software installed and on I go with life. Has anyone any idea on the fixing the problem.

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Ross

You need to contact them or ESET to verify that the SNs are correct . The SN will produce a license (username and password) which you'll need to download/install ESET Smart Security.

Just an advice for future actions - if you are located in Australia , deal with the Australian ESET partner/distributor . They'll provide you with local support and things will always be much faster. Always . Additionally , with any ESET software , you don't necessary need a CD/DVD disk . They are all available for download from ESET's official webpage/servers . You need a the license (Username and password) which you use when you want to download them - http://www.eset.com/download , http://www.nod32.com.au/download/commercial.html

Customer Service what a joke. Can't believe that I am still getting stuffed around with this. The tech people keep sending emails on info they want they have it already. Absolute joke all I want to do is activate the two CD's I bought and get all this stuff around. Well I have written it off and will purchase something else that will work hopefully. Time is valuable to me and can't be bothered wasting valuable time trying to rectify this. Anyone else just be careful, hate someone else waste their money.

ESET Australia do not have serials or anything to register, so you obviously did not purchase from them.

Contact the website where you purchased from and have them assist you in whatever is required.
