    Ah Boot Log XP, I posted this awhile back. For free I suppose the now unsupported BootVis is similar.

    I could be wrong but hasn't windows not a built in boot log option? What I am referring to is when you press the windows button together with r and type msconfig press enter after that press on the boot.ini tab there you can check the option bootlog.

    Thanks, it seems a bit complicated. But i still have to see it in detail.

    Not so detailed I think.

    I basically want to measure boot time.

    Hello aigle,

    You should check out the link that "stapp" provided in the previous post. The specific application in question that may be of interest to you is a free utility called "Boot Timer". Unfortunately, it is not compatible with Vista.

    BootRacer(beta) from the creators of RegRun and UnHackMe is another utility that is free for non-commercial use.
