Hi there! Been using EAV for some time and also helped betatest v3 of ESS/EAV. So now I though I'd tinker a bit with v4 of ESS, so far the impression is good, but there is one thing that bothers me:

Thunderbird (2.0.0.18 ) reports 2 unread mails and yet I have none unread in any of my folders. this occured after installing ESS v4. I tried updating my Thunderbird to 2.0.0.18 (from 2.0.0.9) but it did not help.

    I've so far

Removed all spam-marked mails, not helping
    Emptied trashcan, not helping
asked ESS to rescan all folders, not helping
turned off ESS Antispam, no dice

and now, at the moment, I'm out of suggestions, so if you could provide me with one (or a few) that'd be splendid :)

    Regards

    Teazle

    Hello,

Support for Mozilla Thunderbird 2.x is not yet fully-implemented. For more information see, http://beta.eset.com/ess/changelog and scroll down to the Known Issues for ESET Smart Security v4.0 section.

    Hello,

The http://beta.eset.com/ web site is relatively new, so not everyone knows to go there to look for information about beta test versions yet.

Anyone retried ESS v4 with Thunderbird recently?
Compatibility problems previously forced me to revert ESS v3 but I'm keen to try again if ongoing updates have solved some problems, or perhaps I need to wait for beta 2 https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=227394

Been using TBird w/ver 3 on 2 machines, no problems. Recently went w/ver 4 on desktop, left ver 3 on laptop. Incurred no problems w/ver 4. Been running ver 4 for about a month. XP SP3 on both computers.
