#9646 is displayed, but only #9621 can be downloaded

    Hello everybody !


    Still no French #9646 version...

    When I go here :
    https://www.acronis.com/my/updates/
    I can download the build #9621

    But I would prefer to download the latest build ( Build #9646 Novembre 27, 2008 ) which is visible (but impossible to download) here :

    There is a Register button, but I tried it and it told me my serial number has already been registered (which is true, I already registered, but it does ask again), so no access to the download...

    Ok they still aren't ready to provide the French #9646, but why can't I download the original english #9646 ?

    Why is the French web site showing the #9646 version, but only allows to download the old #9621 ?


    I have contacted Acronis Support (12 days ago), and still no answer...


    So, if anybody can help, it would be much appreciated !

    I am wondering why the German version came so fast (a few days), and the French one is still not available.

    For the first full release it's obvious there is a lot of translate work to do (from ATI 11 to ATI 2009).
    But for intermediate builds, which only have bug fixes, there isn't much to translate, so the localized update should be really fast.

    Any thoughts ?

    Good luck with getting support from Acronis. I had emailed them September 12, 2008 and I just got an email back on December 9th!! The email I got is below...
    My name is Nadezhda and I am following up with regard to the Acronis Support issue that we received below. Due to a greater than anticipated interest in our products, we were unable to respond to your email in a timely fashion. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. At this point, I would like to know if you are still having the same issue so I can manage it to resolution. Please reply to this email and let me know if you would like to proceed.
    Acronis is waaaay behind on there support so you might as well go with a different "backup/DR" solution if you want support that same day.

    Well, I don't need a "support on the next day", but it would be nice if they answer before the human race extincts...

    Something changed today.

    Previously, the French web site was displaying the #9646 version, but you couldn't download it.
    Only the old #9621 was available.

    Now, the #9646 text has been removed, and replaced by #9621.
    Still nothing better than 9621 available.

    So, it's now clear that the French version is one month late versus US/German/etc...

    At least users will not think they can access to 9646.



    EDIT :
    I changed my mind about the quality of Acronis Support, once you manage to get their attention it's very good.

    The very slow part is between your first mail and their first answer.
    Then it's very fast.

    -On November 29th, I have sent an email (in French) to Acronis Support, asking when the French version of build 9646 will be released.
    -On december 17th, they answered they don't know.
    -On december 18th, I replied that I would like to use the English version, because I don't want to wait anymore.
    -On december 19th, they answered, providing a link to the English version, and saying that I would need to switch my French licence into an english one to be able to use it completely (otherwise it would be an evaluation).
    -On december 21st, I replied that I accept to switch from French to english.
    -On december 21st (a Sunday, a few hours after my previous e-mail), they answered, providing my new licence, and explaining that my French licence has been canceled to allow the English one to be registered.

    I have registered the new licence, and installed build 9646 without any problem.

    As you see, the first contact is very slow, but then you have an opened case number, and there is someone that answers eveything you ask very fast.
