Hello, Is it advisable to use the active mode for web browsers? However, when IE7 is in active mode, the Windows updates are impossible ... Windows Live Messenger should be considered a browser? And activate the active mode? (Sorry, my English is not very good) Thanks
I have nothing ticked for active mode, not really needed. Also, msn is not a web browser. Just tick real browsers, firefox, ie, opera etc, and leave the rest blank.
I have Active mode ticked for stronger filtering and have No updating issues or the like,However it is noted that passive mode is more compatible according to Esets notations.
Windows Live Messenger must be marked as Web browser (+ Active Mode) ? Because it is an application using the Internet.
But files are checked as a whole at the end of the download anyway. Active mode truly isn't needed, and I wouldn't recommend it at all. Much safer to recommend it off if you want to avoid problems.
