With Acronis true image home 09 is it possible to create a dvd bootable with the hd clone?

Hi... The only thing that bootable is the " Rescue disk " which loads or starts the Acronis True Image program . Then you can use it to create and reload an image or make a clone hard drive . You can not use it to have your operating system with all your data / programs and be able to boot up from it , if that what you mean .

IMHO you cannot CLONE a hdd TO DVDs.
Cloning is from one hdd to annother...

BTW:
To create a bootable image... I heard it is possible with Ti2009 using the 'one-click-option'.

 

If you mean to have the Backup Image on the same bootable DVD, then yes, this feature was available from ver 10, I believe. When making the boot DVD, check under Tools>Options>Default Backup Options>Media Components>Advanced Tab. Bear in mind though that this is a very slow way to make the Backup and to Restore a Backup. Another hard drive, internal or external, is much faster.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to create bootable DVD if you cloned to it. Actually, such clone itself is impossible, because cloning is intended to transfer data from HDD 1 to HDD 2. You may save the backup onto DVD and also create a bootable DVD with our program to recover an image without any operating system installed.
