I just got a Blackberry Curve. Is there any benefit to downloading the Opera Mini as compared to using the web browser that came in my phone?

I use Opera Mini on my 3G phone . I like it , all sites open great . Have no idea about the browser in your Blackberry but vote for Opera Mini - just try it , won't hurt :)

I find opera mini far better than the other mobile browsers. The question you need to ask yourself is are you satisfied with the blackberry browser. If not then definitely give opera mini a try, it won't disappoint.

I have a Palm Centro. Any idea how I can get Opera Mini to work with it?

I have opera mini on my blackberry and have used it about six months. Both browsers, opera and blackberry default, have their own annoying quirks so I find that I bounce between them frequently. Eagerly awaiting the new mobile firefox!

Just started to use Opera Mini on my BlackBerry and so far so good. Is Firefox coming out with one? Didn't find much on their site.

Fennec is the name of the project.

The browser launched into alpha last month and is available for the Nokia 810 Internet Tablet. I would expect a release in the next few months, but you never know as mobile software releases tend to get hung up in testing.

Thanks Fontaine. Will let my son know of that development as he mainly uses firefox and will like to have Firefox on his BlackBerry.
