How to start the Windows installer in Safe Mode

Hi

I was not sure where to post this but I'm trying to uninstall a anti-malware type program so I'll start here. I am having trouble uninstalling Bufferzone on a WinXP pro (sp3) pc. Someone had suggested I try to uninstall Bufferzone in Safe mode. The problem is, on a WinXP pro PC , the installer does not work. Would anyone here know how to uninstall a program in Safe mode under WinXP pro?

The only way to do this is to create a registry entry. See this:

http://www.symantec.com/community/headsup/2530/windows-installer-%26amp;-safe-mode
