    Hello,
    please check out what update server you have selected in the update setup (it should be set to Choose automatically). Aren't you from Australia?

    I've selected the <Choose automatically>. I'm from Portugal.

    We've been reported this problem only by users of one particular ISP (probaly having connectivity problems), so it is likely that changing it would resolve the problem. If someone could provide you temporary access through another ISP, please try it out.

    Yes mate,
    I get an error saying (cant find file) when I tried to update can anyone help me because it used to work fine until just recently.

    Same here - "File not found" message.

    Trial version, downloaded today. User name and password left blank. Tried a few times, tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well.

    Tried the "automatically select" server option and manually selecting each server.

    I notice in the setup.xml file:
    <NODE NAME="SelectedServer" TYPE="STRING" VALUE="http://www.nod32.com/nod_eval/" />

    If you go to that URL there is nothing there... could that have something to do with it?

    Try again. There seems to have been a problem with servers for some, especially the server for trial version updates.

    To download the last update (1.631) I've to click in "Update now" more that 10 times!!! Because the auto update doesn't download it...

    This is a very flat bug!!!!

    I've the same issue. I've to click one time in the update botton because the scheduled task hasn't automatically updated my NOD.

    Hi sir_carew,
    please post your Event log so that it's evident whether NOD32 attempted to update the vir. sign. database automatically or not. If it's too large, post only the latest records.

    thanks for your reply :)
    The issue was fixed, I've do the following:
    Opened NODCC, Nod32 system tools, scheduled task/planner, I've click the NOD32 update task with the others mouse botton and I've click on run now.
    Now my NOD check for updates every 1 hour.

    I would like to add that this problem is on going and I'm asking my self have all my people I have recomended and sold NOD32 to been able to update succesfuly? some of them are not computer wizzes. I'd hate to see them become infected because updating is not happening. I can sit and click the same sever a few times before i get it to work. I really think this issue needs to be high priority to fix as NOD32 reputation for updates is at stake here.

    To whom getiing error connecting to server: please make sure the computer is already connected to the Internet at the time the attempts to update NOD32 were carried out. If you use dial-up, you should set the type of Internet connection in the advanced update setup to dial-up in order to avoid getting these errors. In the case of a dial-up connection, please do not schedule the task Automatic update on regular basis but rather the second task Automatic Update upon dial-up connection instead.

    To whom getting the error Downloaded file is damaged - this error only occurs if the update files that have been downloaded got somehow corrupted during transmittion (most likely the connection between you and your ISP is not perfect which results in problems with update). The best would be to try connecting to another ISP to see if it makes any difference (most likely it will).

    I use Cable Modem at 128kb... My ISP is NetCabo (http://www.tvcabo.pt/home_internet.asp)

    I'm always online. I've F-Prot installed, but not running, and don't have this problem...

    If I try to update another program, I don't have any problem, only with NOD32...
