When I first read the title of this thread, I thought oh nice - finally they came to their senses and offer ZA PRO FREE for all who need and want it.
FREE for whole 24 hours ?? AWESOME!!!
Try to lure me somemore. This thread is misleading and totally uncalled for.
    Advertisement sure sneaks in somehow.
    Bah! :thumbd:

The free for 24 hours applys to the time you have to get ZA for free.
If you get it within these 24 hours then you have a 12 month license.

    Nice find btw :thumb:

You misunderstood; for 24 hours next Tuesday you can download a completely free 1 year license.
Thanks for the notice by the way, Zyrtec. :)

Check Point offered the now defunct ZA Anti-spyware firewall for free last year on Patch Tuesday. I already have licenses for Online Armor and Outpost Security Suite 2009. :doubt:

Does the Zone alarm Pro play well with Antivir premium? Are there any conflicts?
My antivir premium license will run out in 3 months,so I can use ZA pro with antivir free.
But now I have to use za pro and antivir premium.Any conflicts?

I'm running the latest version of ZAP8 along with AntiVir Premium with no trouble.

Wonder if this will just be a license giveaway while downloading from their regular site? I am thinking about going ahead and using their 14 day trial then inserting the license I get on the 18th. Anyone think that would work?

This is a deceptive scam. Nothing is for free, there is a catch. Think about it and read carefully, it's not for "free" :thumbd:

Nothing is for free? How do you explain all the free software that Wilders members run on their machines, just for starters? All kinds of stuff is for free. Your statement is patently incorrect. If this is a "deceptive scam", show us where the scam is. Enlighten us, please. o_O

Yes me too i use it once but that's not the point. Some users here are too paranoid. The Pro firewall will be free also.I would expect some heavy traffic once the news spreads out so get in line.:D

I'm gonna be away so I won't be able to get this offer :( If someone would kindly get me a key I'd be more then grateful...If not don't worry, plenty of other firewalls to choose from.

Perhaps you could tell us what you think the "catch" is?

    Hello every one,

I believe my post has been misunderstood by some people here.

There is no scam nor catch on this. CheckPoint is giving away 12 months licenses of ZA Pro for free on Tuesday, November 18, 2008.

They will allow a 24 HOUR “window” where you can register on their web site using a valid e-mail address and they will send you a 12 months valid LICENSE KEY to unlock ZA Pro and use it. That simple.

I got ZA AntiSpyware (now phased out) on November 13, 2007 and it expired in November, 2008 using the 24 hours window given by CheckPoint last year.

If you don't like ZA or any software by CheckPoint, it's your prerogative, you DON'T have to download it. That's it.
If you think Online Armor or even Comodo are better than ZA Pro and you are more than happy using them, then go ahead and keep using them.

No one is pointing a gun at your head to force you to download ZA Pro.

When I posted this information, I just wanted to be nice because I know many people (including myself), like these kind of offers when they become available. But, you don't have to bash or insinuate that what I posted on this thread is misleading or false. Simply, don't download ZA and that's it.

By the way, I don't work for ZA or anything like that but, I do use ZA products on my PC and laptop and I like them. It's matter of personal preference.

    Best regards,

    Carlos

Anyone know what happens after one year?
    Reminders?
Firewall or other components don't work anymore?
