hi, I'm using the free version of Outpost, when I check for updates I always get an error.

"some errors happened during installation proces / HTTP answer invalid, file:2update.aus"

    should I reinstall?
Is this firewall still good enough?

    grtz, ;)

I don't know about this update error, but I feel OP free is still adequate. It stops attacks from the outside.
There are some issues in OP free that are not up to date. It doesn't stop all leak tests and there may be some local access vulnerabilities. Also Windows XP support is not good, but that's not an OP specific problem. As long as it still gives you stealth and closed results on grc or pcflank, don't you worry.

As far as leak tests are concerned: in my opinion it's the user that is responsible for infecting his system with badly crafted software, it's not the firewall that's to blame, it's Nice-to-have, not Must-have. But there's more to be said about this subject. Not in this topic ;)
