I have v10 and v11 on other computers.
    Bought and downloaded 2009 Home.
    The download/purchase email says,
    Your license name is: xxx
    Your license code is: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

I start install, soon reaching a screen asking for the "serial number" (not "license code"). I enter the "license code" provided in the email. Rejected.

I find in notes another 5x5 type number called serial number from previous installs. It is also rejected.

I have purchased this and cannot install it. I am seeing mixed terminoloigy for numbers. None of the numbers provided by Acronis during the purchase will allow th product to install.

I am really impressed with Acronis, again (NOT).

How do I make the "license code" Acronis gave me with my purchase allow the product to install? Have I wasted my money?

The "key" is not a 5x5 for TI 2009. It's much larger:
    XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX

You should have received that type of key. If you didn't, you didn't get a valid one.

My TI2009 was an 8x8 number.

Do you have an email confirming your purchase with the code? There should be contact info in that email for problems.

    In MY case:
For assistance with your order, you can go to http://www.digitalriver.com/cs/ and perform the following tasks:
    - View and print an invoice
    - Download your digital product
    - Check shipping status of physical product
    - Find answers to common questions
    - Contact customer service representatives

These two answers totally confuse me. First, I now have a third term on the table...a "key," in addition to "serial number" and "license code." Nice.

The entire email I received is:~Private communications removed per the TOS of the forums. - Ron~

    This is from Acronis.
It is not an 8x8 number, it is a 5x5 number.
If you try to reply to the message from <support@acronis.com>, you get a message that replies by email are not accepted any more....go to the web site (a very friendly approach for customers, don't you think?)

Thus, it appears that Acronis itself can't even issue valid codes for its products.

Mine came as Order Confirmation from Digital River although it had the Acronis logo etc in the message body.

You obviously have a problem and need to deal with Acronis directly rather than hoping they will come upon your post at some time.

Acronis does have some serial number problems but different from yours which just looks like a wrong number. They commonly reported problem is having a serial number that works but expires in 15 days.

I see my posting of actual language from Acronis is disallowed. Yeah, the protect them mode kicked in.

You know what? I'm fed up with this company. There are other imaging programs. I got this last one on a terrific promotion, so I am dumping Acronis and it's too-many-problems product and its hard-to-get-support attitude.

I am DONE WITH Acronis. Fed up. Fini.

Are you using an English language version or the German version?

The email doesn't normally have a licence name, however the German language versions use a licence server.

Is what the non German version email should look like
