    Hi,

I just update TDS and it went from:
    18:17:05 [Init] • Systems Initialised [31864 references - 11472 primaries/9098 traces/11294 variants/other]
18:17:06 [Init] Radius Systems loaded. <Databases updated 17-02-2004>

    to:
    18:17:44 [Radius] • Systems Initialised [31180 references - 11094 primaries/8913 traces/11173 variants/other]
18:17:44 [Radius] Radius Systems loaded. <Databases updated 18-02-2004>

    What's up?

    Hi,

OK, I went to TDS web site and update my update.cfg and reran the update. Now I have the latest and greatest update. But TDS should never update to an older file like that. Also I had just updated my update.cfg file in January so it seems strange that it would be a problem.

    TDS4, TDS4, TDS4 where are you?

I always check the update, looks like that was a good idea.

    Have a Great Day

Loki - Next time that happens, do me a favor - don't do anything but shutting down and re-starting TDS and let me know if it suddenly comes up with the correct update specs on its' own (without attempting to update it again either through the program or manually). Thanks. Pete

I also had a problem with updating tds, when i ran the update, it said that the database was already up to date, even thought my database was dated 14/02/04, it still said it was up to date.I also updated my cfg file and this fixed the problem and now everything is ok.

I just downloaded and installed the current update.cfg file and that fixed the problem for me, too. I ran the updater and instead of retrieving an older database, the most current one was installed. Yippee! :D

I posted here last week about the updater problem and was told my ISP's caching proxy might be responsible. I found out my ISP doesn't use a caching proxy so I have been looking for the problem ever since. Many thanks for providing the solution!!

    Hi CatThief,

    Glad that help.

    Hi Spy1,
18:18:35 [Init] • Radius Advanced Specialist Extensions on standby for 13 trojan families
    18:18:35 [Init] • Systems Initialised [31180 references - 11094 primaries/8913 traces/11173 variants/other]
18:18:35 [Init] Radius Systems loaded. <Databases updated 18-02-2004>

After I saw that I didn't get the proper Radius file I unloaded TDS and restarted it and as you see above it was still the wrong Radius file. At that point I went to TDS web site and downloaded a new update.cfg file.

I don't understand why TDS would update with an older file than the one you have. It will not update to the same so why update to an older one?

    Hi,

The easiest thing to do is simply change the update.cfg and move the most reliable servers to the top of the list. There are problems with one server and my upload will not go to that site. Am trying to resolve this but no success yet.

    http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/radius.td3
    http://radius.turvamies.com/radius.td3
    http://www.zeylstra.nl/tds/radius.td3

These servers are very reliable ;)
