Should I enable it with Blackspears guide? What does it do, when someone sends me a file using MSN Messenger NOD32 scans the file for me?

    Hi LenovoT61B,

Messenger is supposed to launch the command line entered when file transfer is complete.

If you use the following it should work well - you can adjust the switches to suit your preference:

    ESET Smart Security
    Code:
    "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\ecls.exe" /adv-heur /adware /arch /boots /files /mail /no-log-all /pattern /quarantine /rtp /sfx /subdir /unsafe /unwanted /aind /base-dir="C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security"
    ESET NOD32 Antivirus
    Code:
    "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\ecls.exe" /adv-heur /adware /arch /boots /files /mail /no-log-all /pattern /quarantine /rtp /sfx /subdir /unsafe /unwanted /aind /base-dir="C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus"
    Cheers :)

If I look at this post in Blackspears guide it is the same except it does not have the \auto switch and it does have the /aind and /base-dir= switches which is necessary for me here. You can see this post in Blackspears guide for an explanation of switches.

Messenger scans received files by launching the external program specified in the 'Scan file for viruses using' box- in this case it is the ESET Command Line Scanner ecls.exe.
Files transfered by HTTP are also checked by EAV/ESS Web Access Protection module according to its own settings.

    HTH

    Cheers :)

I don't quite understand what the commands you added do. Can you give me a brief description. Let's say someone sends me a file, what will happen? What happens if it is a trojan what will happen? Do I see NOD32 looking over it?
