Hmmmm... I tried to run DS GoAnyWhere from my HD and it will not run. GoAnyWhere.exe will run and then will be immediatel terminated itself.( I have XP SP2). I just saw it in ProcessExplorer, no GUI or window appears at all.

I am Threatfire and Spyware Doctor user and recently have some conflicts compatible issues. I had both uninstalled.

On the first run of DriveSentry i have trouble installing and its partly my mistake for not disabling my antivirus.

I have DriveSentry, Avira Antivir Premium and Outpost Firewall Pro on realtime and don't see any conflicts, it seems to work along very well. The only thing that it takes some cpu resource when i'm having my torrent on. Not much of an expert, i believe it have got to do with the way DriveSentry reads before allowing the program to write on my drive.

I don't see any fp with the DriveSentry scanner and to mention it takes some times finishing with the scanning of my 250gb raptor drives.

DriveSentry is remarkably impressive for a new product with its large database. Definitely on the right track and kudos to DriveSentry.

Check these youtube Antivirus showdown videos.

The same thing happen when i'm forgot to disable Avira before installing on my first run.

You won't need Defensewall its just overkill. Defensewall is a sandboxing style behavior blocker.
You already have sandboxie along with DriveSentry.

Online Armor is an exceptional firewall its really simple to use and have very good defense. I don't think Online Armor have very much compatible issues with other security programs. You will likely have conflicts with others HIPS when using Kaspersky.

I used to be paronoid when comes to security. It gives me nuts with prompts and conflicts. A simple solution don't get overkill with too many security programs especially when they are doing the same job.

Well, why you'd you like to run DS-GoA from your hd, it would not be portable then and simply act as DriveSentry? It is why supposed to be run from a external drive or device. I am running it with no problem, but from one of the partitions sitting on my USB ext. drive.

Regarding my earlier post #579. It's my bad i had got them wrong. Disabling the content filter within my firewall application rules solves the problem. DriveSentry now is light as a feather and the scanner speed is fairly fast.
It took less than 19 mins to complete the drives scan of over 42000+ files.:thumb:

I have followed this thread, from its origination. Like Bellgamin, I to have reserved offering my thoughts since the start. And those were not very positive. But the product I tested before, is now a completely different one.

I to, would like to see some real world tests done to add validity to what I hope it is evolving into. I do know that it was put to the tests at the start of its glory days here at Wilders, and failed miserably. I also know now, that hard work has brought it forward, just how much, I don't know yet.

So Katie, geez I hope you are paid well, I still feel as others, that its time is coming and may be here for all I know, but at some point there will be triggers that tell me the "DriveSentry" push is over.

When that happens, it will either have survived or perished. "Tad bit extreme."

    1. Even though we differ, CSJ once said, that the tray icon is dismal and I still agree.
    2. Profit? At some point this product is going to have to have, a price that is truly reflecting of the security marketplace. When that happens, then I know you feel you don't have to hand out cookies but can stand behind what you offer for sales.
    3. Certification? Yeah, having all those little avatars on your web page do mean allot I suppose. But VB alone wont do it. You need to really put, or push, it out their to every testing facility available. You may lose some and win some, but trust me, it is what folks want to see.

Anyway, I am using it, like it, and "may" keep it, BUT, time will tell on all accounts. Wont it.:thumb:

    Hi Jlo...

Thanks for the information. We are aware of this networking issue and have developers working on it as we speak.

    Will keep you posted.

    ;)

    Hi Kate,

How is it going with TrueCrypt containers? Has DS fixed the issue yet where applications refuse to run from the TC container?

    Hi Katie,

I've got another question for you, since I wanted to buy GoAnywhere for my USB-stick. :)

Installation went fine, but when pressing the Buy Now button I always get this screen. No browser window is opened to purchase it. :doubt:

I've shut down KIS 2009, also installed it on my HD by copying those files from my USB, but still no go.

Why not a Buy Now button on your website, since that would eliminate those problems, I think?

Very weird why it doesn't work here. :D ;)

    Hi Elda,

I noticed the screen shot is from an older version of GoAnywhere please download the latest version from the website and try again. :)

    Thanks,

    Kate.

    truthseeker,

I have tried running programs from the TC container and that works OK. What program was causing the problem and I will look into it further :)
