    Hi

Please be gentle as this is my first post!

Prior to installing Acronis Disk Director Suite, I was dual booting XP Pro 32-bit and Vista Ultimate 64-bit, using Microsoft's Dual Boot Manager, installed when I loaded Vista (XP having already been installed).

My Keyboard worked fine ( Logitech DNovo Edge) as did my Microsoft Laser 8000 mouse.

However I suffered a massive crash which knocked out my MBR and boot menu - had to reinstall Vista in order to get the dual boot manager back. The crash was caused by my MS mouse - this has now been replaced by a Logitech MX Revolution mouse and to further protect against future crashes etc, I installed Acronis OS Selector.

However neither my mouse or keyboard do not work either in the Acronis OS Selector and MS Dual Boot Manager.

I have tried disabling and enabling and using "auto" in USB Legacy Support in my BIOS and tried virtually all the input device options in OS Selector.

Nothing I can do can sort this.

I feel if I cannot get one of them to work, I will have to ditch this software and get a refund.

Surely with these state of the art input devices, theyt should work.

    I would appreciate some help.

    roz

Welcome to the forum. I can only offer some suggestions and you may have already tried them.

Did the new Logitech mouse work before you installed OSS?

How did you determine the crash was caused by the MS mouse? Did the mouse physically malfunction, cause circuit damage, what?

How is OSS supposed to protect against future crashes?

Does the keyboard work if you don't have the mouse plugged in?

If the mouse and keyboard don't work with Microsoft's boot manager, they most likely wouldn't work with OSS. It sounds like the computer just isn't supporting them properly.

I would suggest you try different ports (if available) and that you check if the computer is using the latest BIOS (there may be an update to better support newer hardware setups).

Please be aware that re-flashing your bios may be trickier than you think and any flaws in doing so can be a computer killer-- yes very rare but I know that it killed my schoolmate's older computer. Luckily for her, her parents bought her a new and much better computer.

    Hallo,

I have exactly the same problem. Today I installes the OS Selector. No problems with Logitech wireless mouse and keyboards under Win XP, but it is not possible for me, to leave the OS Selector after booting becaue mouse can be moved (I see the noving mouse pointer), but no clicks can be made and the keyboard seems to be dead...

    Best Regards
