Adaware picked up Acceleration Software International's "Webscan" Should I be wary of this program? This program does not ring a bell with me at all. Or am I paranoid? Thanks.

digiti - Are we talking about your own, personal computer here?

According to Google, it could be a network administration tool (of course, it could be about twenty other things, too! <g> ).

Is there a listing for it in Add/Remove Programs? Does it show as a running task when you do a C/A/D?

Why don't you just post your latest AA scan results and let us take a look? Pete

The program does not run at startup or in the background and is not in Add/Remove programs. Here is a screenshot enclosed. Thanks.

Digiti.......have you installed an "internet accelerator" by the name of Webcelerator? Has your homepage been changed to http://www.homepageware.com or changed at all?
Does eDefender ring a bell? Have you recently gotten a page that popped up inviting you to scan for viruses?

Some time ago, I may have experimented with a web accelerator of some sort ,but not recently. This is the first time it showed up in Adware's scan. Well I now know that those keys should be deleted. Thanks very much.

    Hi Digiti,

On a side-note and generally spoken:
Always let Adaware make a back-up before deleting.
