Or start TI, click on the Help menu and About, the version number and build should be shown. At least it has been in previous versions, I havent plucked up courage to download this version yet.

Pressing the Alt key would bring up the standard menu bar in the beta. I haven't checked it yet in the final release.

iirc, 12 is laid out sort of Vista-ish and sort of mimicing Office 2007, so there's no about, at least not discoverable by ordinary means. E.g., where it used to right onthe 1st level menu under Help, in 2007 Word it's under Home, Word Options, Resources, About. But I don't recall seeing that depth of menu structure in ATI12/2009.

Yes, and you can also right click on the install file to find it.
Works in the final version too.

Yes, pressing the Alt key adds Help at the top. From there you can get to About

    talking about build numbers:

things start to get wicked already:

the current build seems to be 9608, that's for the TrueImage2009_d_en.exe
now we seem to be so very attentive to even release an uk version, which can be obtained from eu.acronis.com:
    TrueImage2009_d_uk.exe, carrying build number 9611

So is there really two different english versions (hard to believe), is the 9611 a mistake?
Why are builds differing between language versions? ..Acronis is the only company i've ever seen do that.
Do i have to be a Brit to be eligible for the latest updates?

(the above refers to the trial versions)

I agree that FILE HELP should be present w/o having to use the Alt tab. It's not like those 2 words take up a lot of space.

I agree but they are not going to do it. The whole point is the interface is based on the Vista UI design, which means no menus when you have a context sensitive toolbar. Blame Microsoft, not Acronis.

Sorry Mike, I'm not buying that. Acronis is responsible for the program they made, not Microsoft.;)

F10 for Help or About? That is not like Vista or Office 2007? Oh well, so much for consistently inconsistent consistencies.

Sorry Shieber, that is exactly the interface they've used for Vista systems, F10 or ALT will indeed reveal the extra menu bar. ;)

Yet another thing about Vista that's annoying. :cautious:

If you using Vista you have to press the ALT key to see the menu that has help on it.

Thank you, guys. I'm a long-time user of Acronis True Image, but I had about convinced myself that there was NO "about" information in TI 2009. FWIW, the about menu doesn't appear on an XP system, either.

What I don't understand is why it reports that I have build 9646 installed, when I actually have 9709 installed (the bootable rescue disk reports it accurately, as 9709). As far as I'm concerned, that's information I need to know. Are you listening Acronis?

I don't mean to be picky, but I also have a problem with Acronis labeling the program TI 2009 (it was released in 2008 ), because it's actually TI 12.x. Someone mentioned consistencies and inconsistencies, and that's a perfect example.

    Hello JSS3rd,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image

You can do the following: Launch the installation file of the build #9709 and select the Repair option. Wait for the process to be completed, reboot your machine and see if the issue persists.

    Thank you.
