    Hi Guys.

Whats your thoughts on running Windows Defender with Nod32 antivirus business edition at the same time ? I no windows defender is not that good but is it worth it ? Can some conflicts between the different software occur ?

No, dont run it. Yes it may conflict, anyway, NOD32 is vastly superior.

everyone claims, that Nod wont conflict with other antispyware, and they are talking about layered defence..I think, that it is all wrong!
I run with ESS just Boclean, cause it WONT conflict with ANY other antivirus!:)
other antispyware, that are using realtime shild someday WILL conflict!:)just the matter of time!:)even when you install Nod32,it is saying, that other antivirus, antispyware programs that are running realtime should be uninstalled!and ii rather trust Eset:)

I've used it all the time and defender runs pretty well alongside NOD32. neither NOD32 nor defender has ever come across any spyware case in my system, though.

While Defender isn't tops in detection/removal, it really doesn't hit your PCs resources, and I've never seen it conflict with other AV products. MS designed it to be an additional layer of protection on peoples PCs...thus co-exist with other AV/protection programs.

I have no problems running Windows Defender alongside NOD32 v3 on my Vista machine, I also have SpywareBlaster and SuperAntiSpyware as well.

I agree that running Windows Defender and NOD32 should not be an issue. I have over 20 XP PCs running that combo with zero issues.

I do feel that running Defender is worth it. It's best protection is the real-time scan component, not in it's on demand scanning. One example of something it sees but NOD32 does not... modifying the hosts file.

No problems here either... In fact, honestly I haven't seen Windows Defender to conflict with any AV. Whether it's actually useful or not would be a different debate. :p

Hello, I don't see a reason for using two resident applications.

i have always used it alongside defender, and anyone who can't design an av that cant run with what is essentially part of vista's operating system, cannot IMHO call it vista compatible. defender is not an antivirus program.

Always used NOD32 and Vista's integrated Windows Defender together.
    They compliment each other nicely.
