OK is this update a bomb or am I having a exception...

Just downloaded it and installed it as an upgrade.
It took almost twenty minutes to install.
Rebooted and went to use it.Well it took almost 15 min to open.

Then while restoring a bu [w2kpro os 2.2 gb size] is said it would take 15 hrs to complete. I have restores this before on this system and it normally takes 4 min. So I uninstalled it, rebooted and re-installed it as a new install.

Same story. 20 min to complete the install and almost 10 min to open.
When I went to do the restore it told me the backup archive was corrupt.

I uninstalled it again , rebooted, re-installed Build 8053. That install lasted less than 5 min. rebooted. It opened in 2 min or less. Accessed the "Corrupt" without an issue and restored it in 3-4 minutes.

    So what is the storyo_Oo_O

Try stopping the "Distributed Link Tracking Client" service. Set the start type to Manual. This has worked for others.

Hi, selkov Just curious, if the old build was working why did you upgrade? Do you use a lot of the extra features built into TI? I simply use TI to backup and restore and sometimes to "Mount" or "Explorer" an old TIB file to copy and paste something.
I have learned that if a build of TI works on my machine, to ignore any updates, because of this very reason. Plus I went through the act of making a VistaPE disk and with my Dial-up I don't want to go through that procedure again if I don't have to Thankfully Mustang told me how to make a smaller version or I would still be trying to make a VistaPI !.
Build 8053 works fine for me and that is were I'll stay until I purchase another operating system.
