I've been using Acronis TI 9.1 bootable disk on numerous Lenovo Thinkpads to backup en recover. When I however try to use the cd on a brand new lenovo R500, I cannot use TI in full mode. I found a workaround, ("quiet acpi=off noapic"), which indeed allows me to go one step further, but after applying this setting, Acronis does not find the hdd of the laptop anymore.
    Any suggestions?

Hi TDLM, welcome to the Forum :D

The most likely cause for this type of behaviour is that there is not as yet a Linux driver for the HDD in the new Lenovo 500.

Obtain the Make & Model of the hard disk and send an email to Acronis Support asking them for a Linux driver.

    Hello tdlm

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

Please make sure you use the latest build of the respective version of Acronis True Image. To get access to updates you should first register your software. Don't forget to recreate Acronis Bootable Rescue Media after updating.

If the latest build doesn't solve the problem, could you please clarify, what version of Acronis True Image are you using? You can find the full version name and build number by going to Help -> About... menu in the main program window.

    Thank you.

    Thanks for your replies,
I did use TI 9.1, after upgrading to True Image Echo, all went well.
