This is the error message we get when trying to update Spyware Blaster through a Netgear ADSL DG814 Modem/Router/Firewall with the latest firmware 4.9 update. Funnily enough we were able to update 3 days ago, but not since...

    Cheers :D

If u have updated using that router before successfully, I would think it was just a bad or incomplete download. Its happened to me on rare occasion.

What file do I need to delete before attempting a further update?

    Cheers :D

The five files that make up the full SpywareBlaster database can be manually downloaded, one at a time from separate web links, and are listed in this thread (under the tip called "I would like to perform manual updates - is there a way I can do so?"):

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=12266

Right-click each file link and save each file to your system, being sure to select "All Files" as the "Save as type". When you have them all, be sure SpywareBlaster is not running (exit it) and move those files to the SpywareBlaster directory overwriting the existing copies. Then start SpywareBlaster and it should process the new files and that should bring you current.

If the problem was because of file corruption, then this should fix it. It may be that you'll get a clean download the next time an update is released. But, if it is really a network problem, then this won't help (well other than getting you current - manually each time there is an update).

    - search code: spywareblaster manual update updates save download links -
