    Hi!

I'm having boot problems on a Gigabyte Ep45-ds3r: choose to boot from cd-rom through boot menu and immediately after that:

Acronis loader fatal error: boot drive (partition) not found.

So... what's up with that? Its the original retail cd, and appearantly it does find the cd drive through the controller or it would not be giving the acronis error message.

    Help? :D

edit: plain and simple Sata controller in ahci mode.

I'm not on-site at the moment, but version is 11, build I don't know...

I'll look at the thread and try when I'm on-site, thanks for the link! But I'm pretty sure the error comes up even before the prompt is shown...

    AHCI and TI-rescue-CD (=Linux) doesn't fit.

I don't have experiences of my own but I read it sometimes in the net...

I've had multiple experiences where AHCI mode works just fine. Including Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H boards etc. But as a workaround I'll try to put the controller in ATA mode. I'm curious though...

It would be nice if there was a searchable DB for supported and unsupported/support underway hardware.

Linux is not the problem, drivers are. They should be included in updates (through the non-existing update button in the program which also updates the boot image on your bootable media when required (which is still also non existent)).

    Hello GRAC,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

It seems that the default Acronis Loader doesn't work properly on your system for some reason. Please contact our Live Chat service or send us a private message with your serial number. We will provide you with an .iso image of a bootable media with different bootloader that will work on your system.

    Thank you.
