    Thanks Larry.

    But this magazine sucks.
The editor should learn how to test those suites.
And of course, he should send a curriculum to Symantec.:D

    Interesting article.

Nice to see Kaspersky near the top.

I will say that I don't experience and really never have the slowdown that the reviewer and others seem to have while browsing with it.

There was a little bit with 7.0, but ever since I switched to the newest version there's not been much of any.

That could be the quad core processor and 3 gigs of memory though... but either way I've had little to no substantial slow down while browsing.

Having tried both, toss up, I cant find anything different to complain about. It is up to you to pick and choose.

Yet again it is something that very much depends on what your machine is like. And sure I want my machine to be very fast but maybe more nimportant I want my machine to be fully protected ;)

The user's that post comments really do need some in site on what they are saying lol.

Tho I did enjoy the Nod32 attempting to bash Norton on its review comment. it was amusing. (NIS 2009 Review)

This time I have to agree with the writer. I think the machine was the same for all the suites tested, :p

Can you say more about why you feel the suites were not tested properly?

geeeze- norton security only took 15 sec to boot up? I bet they tested it on raw computer with not a thing on it in startup.

I get computers with norton security on it and I can go have a cup of coffee until it finishes booting up.

Take Norton Security off and the computer gives me a "Sigh" of relief like it just got un constipated.

I get that magazine via snail mail. some of the articles are not bad but sometimes I think they had too much to drink that day when they write others.

My comp will boot to a usable state useing NIS 2009 in 30/40 seconds. The fastest it has ever booted with an AV installed.

And the same happens at my PC. Within 45 seconds everything is working, including radio streams, etc. That was quite different with KIS, Eset SS, Avira SS and F-Secure.
