Yahoo is not security conscience at all so no surprise. I used to easily find Yahoo lock users accounts apps, as well as boot off apps all the time a few years ago.

    Very insecure internet email system.

The hacker or Palin ? :D

Be interesting as to if he can be tracked down: smart but stupid..
Bucket of cold water in the face at international level for yahoo !!
Every other yahoo user who knows ...scrambling to del del del del....
How about security of other e-mail servers ??
What would he be charged with...invasion of privacy?, theft of a few kb of e-mails?, affray?, rabble rousing?
    Being a nuisance nosey creep...?
I suppose yahoo or SP could make a civil claim..?
    Embarrassment all round.

...just one little coronary spasm away from the presidency...
Think the secret service or the Republicans are now all over her comps and communications ??

Seems fair to me. If the government can spy on us, the people can spy on them.

Using Yahoo mail for state business is beyond careless or naive. It demonstrates that she has no concept of the present internet reality.

LOL - Not wanting to get "political" in a security forum, I choose the Hacker. Yet, anyone who thinks that their email (handled by an ISP) is truly private, has to be compared to and equivalent of an appliance bulb wattage IMO.

Well, if I found the right section of the US code for the Federal Electronic Communications Privacy Act: § 2701. Unlawful access to stored communications, the hacker is looking at 1 to 10 years, depending on the charges, plus fines.

Supposedly some representatives son is being investigated. I would be VERY surprised if the hacker allowed himself to be found so easily.

Don't forget he will get the Michael Milken suite.

Be back by lights out, bring your tennis and swim gear, park the Mercedes in a reserved spot.

LOL - Michael Milken was ranked 458th world's richest person in 2007 so crime did indeed pay for him, but this hacker, being the son of a Democrat state representative, might end up in Leavenworth federal prison, for more years than Milken served. Go figure.

The guy is not even an hacker. He just got the email and did something that every script kiddie could do. If he actually was an hacker, he would have used different proxy servers from a public computers for each operation, and he would have visited more website in order not to make the cops suspicious.:D
