This software cost more to run that actually having to deal with viruses.

How do you defend a software that disable all programs on XP machines.

The Real time file system protection disables all programs when active.
    Running 3.0.657.0

Do you know how much money and working hours you cause?

If you can be a little more specific about what is being disabled and what else you might be running on these systems, we can try to help you.

Your scenario is not a common one by any means, one I've never personally seen in all my years as a reseller.

Thank you AspectTech for turning the light on.

Well it got nothing to do with my system or others it is bad system knowledge from the dev teams side end of story.

Capp - Im pretty sure sales know nothing about problems either because they-
    a) don't want to know
    b) don't get all the information
    c) don't want to bring bad publicity out. :argh:

I work for a publishing house and we know for a fact that it has been problems before and we didn't cause it - a faulty update did (or in fact a series of them). When several machines get problems at the same point you know!

If you don't believe me you can check what happened to thousands of Adobe CS3 users in May 2008.
