    I couldn't decide between IE7, Firefox 3 and Opera 9.52.
Opera is almost compatible. Firefox 3 lags with extension updates, although I noticed recently that I'm set with my extensions.
    IE7 works fine for me.

After using Chrome for a while, I decided to get back to Firefox. I couldn't. It looked like going back to dial-up:eek:
I tried getting back with the first browser I ever used after IE, Opera. I felt fine with it. I'm always playing around with IE, FF, Opera, Safari, and now Chrome. But I don't know why in the end I still get back to Opera. It just needs to fix some compatibility issues, otherwise it's perfect for me.:D

I use it on Vista x64 and haven't had any crashing. I have DEP turned off, however, so that may indeed be the cause.

Turned DEP off for Google Chrome executable.....no go so Chrome is out for me as of now, maybe in future as a second browser to Opera.

I'm not sure which change did it but with build:

    Chromium 0.2.152.0 (Developer Build 1833)
    WebKit 525.19
    V8 0.2.5
    User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/0.2.152.0 Safari/525.19

Most slowdowns and 100% cpu peaks have been fixed for me

If you build it from the Chromium source, then yes.

Thanks, I am especially interested in using Chrome for Gmail + Calendar in the off-line mode.
I will wait for someone to make a .deb package.

Here is how I got Gmail in my start menu:

    1. Create an application shortcut of the Gmail Tab:

    gmail-01.jpg

    2. Pin the new icon to the start menu:

    3. Remove your previous email client from the start menu:

I'll have to look at Chrome again later, frequent browser lockups instigated a return to Opera for now.

Same here and shame on Google devs for not fixing the x64 XP issue. I can't change options or import bookmarks, it keeps crashing. No thanks for now.

I heard from another forum that it has been fixed.

Almost all crashes and found exploits have been fixed in chromium SVN, The fix says nothing about x64 but it seems to work now.

An update......downloaded latest snapshot from chromium site and the XPx64 crashes are gone. They should seriously update their final release.

Chrome is cool but for us Roboform users it is a pain in the neck to type in all your passwords manually. I won't use it until it can start being compatible with Roboform and other add ons.

then you ought to be using something like passwordsafe which can enter your credentials into any browser, or any other program should you happen to have other software that requires a username and password...

actually, i'm kind of surprised roboform isn't able to do that considering all the people who swear by it... are you sure?

Allow me to suggest the free Passpack, which works with any browser that supports javascript.
And since Chrome has blazing fast JS, it performs really well.
