I'm old and generally don't fix things that aren't broken. I still use an older version of Nod 32 (2.70.32) to be exact and have no need to update it if it's not needed. It's updating to the latest virus signatures just fine so I figured it would be OK>

Would there be any advantage for me to upgrade to a later build or can I stick my tried and tested older version?

Version 3 has better cleaning and rootkit detection. It is being developed
    whereas version 2 is not.

If your system is working fine and you are happy then don't change it's the golden old rule as you already said.

I'm still with 2.7 on most of my rigs. Tried 3 a while ago, didn't like, kept trying over time. Put 3 on one of my rigs about a month ago, seems OK, one day maybe I'll upgrade my primary gaming rig and laptop to 3....no rush, still a tad heavier than 2.7.

Version 3 working fine for me. You can always return to version 2 if you find 3 is not to your liking.

    Hello,

The last version of NOD32 v2.7 was v2.70.39. It fixed a stack overflow vulnerability which could allow arbitrary code execution. You may wish to upgrade to this release.

    Regards,
