What is the best Firewall to us with Utorrent. I have it running on a older system that pretty much does nothing but Utorrent amongst other file shearing. whats the best firewall for this use.

The system use's Windows Vista SP1 as the OS and sits in the DMZ scence it is used for server apps from time to time. so it needs inbound protection also.

No problems here with the built in firewall either.

In fact, I'm seeing my CPU being used less by using it than when I had Webroot or ZA installed.

Sygate is supposed to be p2p friendly too, but I have no idea if it runs on Vista.....

    Hi, Fajo

if I need a fast and free Firewall for a test snapshot, I always use the PC Tools Firewall.
Don't think it needs a babysitter or you have to create a dozen custom rules to use utorrent. :thumbd:

    Cheers

Thre's nothing to babysit after initial set-up

The pop-ups get less and less with each release

Also i would advice the use of peerguardian2

Fajo, then the best choice is Outpost Pro. It has pre-built ruleset for utorrent. And its constantly updated via ImproveNet .

It cant use PG2  (makes me soo mad. good program) PG wont work on a vista kernel. but I do have something smiler to that. That it does use.

as for outpost and PCTools Ill give them a try also :argh:

as for the comodo comment unfortunately with it being a server system. I need something that can take a rule and bend it a little bit if needed and not popup if there is a minor change. but thanks anyways :)

No, it doesn't. But after some learning process it automagically creates them.
