Whenever the computer's system date changes, the Protection Status icon becomes red with the warning that the Virus signature database is out of date. When I try to update the virus signature database, as recommended, NOD32 reports that an update is not necessary because the virus signature database is current.

How do I restore full protection status?

    Thanks.

Keep the system date always current and the warning will not appear.

A reboot after changing the date back should fix the error. You shouldn't be changing the date anyway.

    Hello,

Are you talking about when the date rolls over normally, e.g., at midnight? Or is this from manually changing the date on the computer?

It occurs when manually changing the time. Reboot after resetting to correct time did not resolve the issue. NOD32 resolved itself a few hours after the time reset - returning the protection status to green.

    Thanks for the help.

    Why "shouldn't" he do that?

What exactly is changing the date/time good for? Other than circumventing the trial period of some programs? Changing the time/date also messes with other programs, and windows update.

Not to mention what changing the date/time in a windows domain enviroment does...

Oh! Okay... I didn't know... It's really messing with win update? Geez. I better not touch that again.
