I'm glad to hear that they are working on an update. I recently changed over to Vista and I'd love to try it out.

How does it compare to the old TPF that we were using before Ca took it over?
Did they remove any of the capabilities or otherwise dumb it down?
Have any improvements been made ?

Are they working on the Loopback problem I hope?

When I tried to install it on XP sp2:

Would have like to have a chance to read its help file, at least. Does someone know of some downloadable user manual, by any chance?

EDIT: The CA FW (+ HIPS components) installation was attempted on a new, pretty clean & patched XP sp2 snapshot (FD-ISR's), with no other duplicating security apps onboard, and only the needed system processes kept active.

I would be curious to know as well!

Ive been a casual user of tiny since the early 2.0 release and all the others.
I'm still using the last version of TPF 2005 i believe it is on my XP machine.
Been waiting for a Vista compatable version to try out. A few more questions if i may.

Did they fix the problem we used to have when trying to import new Snort rules?

Did they make any changes to the firewall portion?

Is code injection still Allow/Disallow or did they add more control?

When will the rest of us be able to try it out?

Is there a forum where this update is discussed in depth like our old forum?

    Michael
