How NOD32 v2 supports the incremental updates? Whenever I update it download about 1.8MB file, I hope that it is not incremental update!

Is there anyway to have it download minimal files?

    Thsk

Updates are usually between 7kb and 70kb. A engine update will download sizes above 1MB.

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

It seems that my system is updating including the Engine. How can I set not to update the Engine?

There is a new engine update out at the moment 2.009

I would allow Nod to do that update.

    Cheers :D

Program component updates are only occasional occurrences, not an ongoing thing. For example, a program update was available via the NOD updater just the other day. If you installed the NOD program update that's the last you'll see a program update until the next one which may be several months away or more. I have my updater set to update the virus signatures automatically but to alert and ask my permission for program updates. So I keep those separate. That setting allows me to not download and install a program component at that time if I wish just in case I want to first see if any issues with the update are being reported by other users.

Virus signature updates are incremental in terms of what is installed, but for example if you missed some updates due to being offline for a while, the update will be inclusive; that is, it will include the definitions you missed rather than just the new updates from the last update issued. Perhaps someone else can better explain how it works.

I rather doubt that you are repeatedly having program component updates downloaded.

I thought you did rather well :D Also think smartcard is being offered the latest PCU (engine update), and once that is downloaded, the updates will be tiny again...

    Cheers :D

    Hi,

If you are a registered user, please make sure you do not have the trial version installed. I suggest you download the full version of NOD32 from our website, uninstall the trial version and install the commercial one.
