I'm new to NOD32 and am liking it so far. I do have a problem I hope someone here can address. Since switching to this AV, my Net Nanny no longer displays a warning pop up when accessing a questionable site. The browser simply stays were it is or goes to a blank page. The software is still doing its job. However, I like the kids to know why a particular site is being blocked so they can ask for an override if necessary. All NN settings are correct and it works fine on my AVG protected laptop. The only thing that has changed is switching to NOD on the desktop. Does anyone know of setting in NOD that I need to tweak? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello abbybelle,

This may be a result of the Web Access Protection feature.

    1. Open the main program window by clicking ‘Start’ -> ‘All Programs’ -> ‘ESET’ -> ‘ESET Smart Security’ or ‘ESET NOD32 Antivirus’ and press F5.

    2. From the Advanced Setup tree, click 'Antivirus and antispyware' -> 'Protocol Filtering'.

    3. Select the 'Applications marked as Internet browsers or e-mail clients' option.

    4. From the Advanced Setup tree, click 'Antivirus and antispyware' -> 'Web access protection' -> 'HTTP' -> 'Web browsers' and make sure that only the applications you want scanned with the Internet filter are selected..

    5. Click 'OK' to save your changes.

    Thank you,
    Rmuffler

Thanks for your reply. I tried your suggestions and am still experiencing the "glitch." I've also been working with Net Nanny customer service. Honestly, I've been impressed with their professionalism and attempts to help resolve the problem. Unfortunately, we've haven't found a "fix" yet. I've sent them files and screen shots and uninstalled/re-installed in both regular and safe modes. So far nothing. I thought maybe spyware might have been causing the conflict, but none was found. Since, I've been at the computer so much (in and out of control panel and such), I've notice several odd things - like no change/remove option in Add/Remove programs - that turned up around the time of my download of NOD. I'm wondering if the removal of BitDefender took or rearranged some things other than their program. If so, I don't have a clue how to fix that!

Still looking for a solution. Any more suggestions?

    Hello abbybelle,

Can you suggest a website that we can use for testing? Please don't recommend any extremely inappropriate site.

    Thank you,

Thanks for your help. The site I've been using as a test is pokerstars.com.
