I would say yes. My opinion of course.
I see you have two on-demand anti spyware/malware scanners, which is fine to have.
The only other thing I would suggest since you have no resident AV, would be to use something like CureIt once in a while for virus's, just to be sure.

Then I am settling down with my current protection, thanks for your advice.

Bought myself a new gaming machine:
    Core 2 Extreme 2.6GHz, 6GB of RAM, 1.25TB HDD
    Win XP SP3 (nLite'd)

    Using a combination of signature-based and zero-day anti-malware programs.

    Deep Freeze
    Acronis True Image
    PC Tools Firewall + Threatfire
K-Meleon 1.5 (default browser and sandboxed)
Avira Antivir (resident AV for additional protection ;) )
    WinPatrol
    SnoopFree
Some on-demand scanners (SAS, MBAM, HijackThis, etc)
    and some hardening tools :thumb:

In my opinion, on-demand antivirus scans are not very useful, especially if you don't use an antivirus for real-time protection.

If a 'virus' has been sitting on your computer for a while, the damage may very well have been done.

As long as it's with an app like Defensewall or GesWall, Cureit is good to use, IMO.
Have you ever tried either one?
Do you know how they work?

I have no idea how cueit works but I do run it every so often. I have my doubts about it though as it never finds anything. As the majority opinion seems to be that multiple layers of security programs are essential and as I don't run any perhaps I should conclude that Cureit is no good because it can't find the malware that must be there ?o_O

I switched to Vista Ultimate and honestly, I like it.

It's just that I can't use ffddhow with media center.. how lame.. and Beyond-tv on xp with ffdshow looks MUCH more better.

    You're barely realizing that? :D

Which part exactly did you feel this way about?

Are you sure your eyes weren't deceiving you just because I go into detail?

I revised it (basically same list, no extra info), does it look less overkill to you now? ;)

Since i have MANY hard drives all with different set ups in one form or another here is another one i seem to have fairly secure:

DiamondCS 3.50 + EQS 4.0 Al(of course) with SandboxIE & Returnil (only when needed)

    Kerio 2.15 with Blitzen's Rules.

And that's all folks, XP SP2 only!

First you say overkill, then I revised it and you still say clutter - Where, in what part exactly? o_O

I am counting 4 main security apps (2 always on \ 2 on-demand) and you say that is too many?

If you don't explain yourself completely, I don't know how to respond accordingly!
