I've spent an hour or so searching the forum and couldn't find any confirmation on this. I did find two threads from Acronis Support confirming that command line restore is not possible, however.

Is it possible to create bootable media (dvd, flash, etc) with a backed up image on it for automatic restore?

I would like to be able to create a DVD, boot it from a computer, and then just sit back. The whole restore would be taken care of automatically.

    Hello merrit7,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

Please be aware that currently Acronis True Image does not have an option to completely automate restores from bootable media. The closest is adding an One Click Restore option to CD/DVD backup, which will require only one click to perform the restore after booting from the CD/DVD. Please see paragraph "Media components" of chapter "Creating backup archives" of the respective User's Guide for detailed information.

    Thank you.

should be very nice if there will be an automatic restore
in a future build, so that you you can make a auto restore cd/dvd
which restores from the hard drive or dvd without the need of user interaction.
