Two of the most painful programs to remove from a PC...

Can't the likes of these be added to the detection database so when the poor suckers that download them, who think they are legitimate programs, that they get detected and or removed or access denied so us techs can stop ripping our hair out trying to rid computers of these melware programs.

    Just asking

I have a ticket open with ESET regarding this virus/crapware. So far it is still not detected even though they have been given samples.

I will be testing everyday until it is detected....which i don't expect to be anytime soon with the rocket scientists they have putting the definitions together. They sure do know how to write defs that start detecting Adobe products as virus', if that's what you are looking for.

Could you please tell me whether you submitted the file(s) to samples[at]eset.com? If so, please PM me your email address, the subject of that email as well as the date of sending. It's always possible to send a log from ESET SysInspector to samples[at]eset.com and we'll assist you in removing the offending files.

It appears that either this weekend or this mornings update seem to now detect at least this variant of Win AV as Win32/Autoit.DJ worm

Should you have a problem detecting/removing offending files, please send a log from ESET SysInspector to samples[at]eset.com with this thread's url enclosed.
